Langley - St. Tropez - Cannes - Cascais - Bonheiden - Monaco
Team Evergate Stables started off the eventful month up north in Langley, B.C. Canada. Jenn and Sayre Happy brought a great team of horses with them and were very busy competing in several classes. Jenn highlighted the weekend riding Dolinn with a 7th place finish in the $35,000 Jump for Uryadi’s Village CSI 2* Grand Prix!
ST. TROPEZ, FRANCE
The Paris Panthers were able to enjoy the fantastic views along the French Riviera as they competed in the 6th event of the Global Champions League. Team riders were Darragh Kenny and Nayel Nassar. Darragh had an exciting round as he sped around on Babalou 41, taking 1st place for GCL round 1! Unfortunately, some rails came down for both Darragh and Nayel through the rest of the competition. The team ended in 16th place for the show, and 14th place for the season.
GCL Cannes, France
From one beautiful French destination to the next, the Paris Panthers team traveled the next weekend to Cannes, France. This arena proved to be challenging as many of the competitions were at night with the bright flood lights startling many of the horses. Teamed up again this round for the Paris Panthers were Darragh Kenny and Nayel Nassar. Both round 1 and round 2 were quite challenging for both riders, with the team ending in 19th place for the show and 16th place for the season.
GCL Cascais, Portugal
The Paris Panthers team traveled to Cascais to compete in the 8th event of the League. With this event marking the half way point of the season, teams are really feeling pressure and pushing for every point. Team riders Darragh Kenny and Gregory Wathelet felt that pressure. Both riders were clear in round 1, and with Gregory hitting only one rail down for round 2, it was a close call. The speed of Gregory pushed the team into 1st place! It was an exciting win for the team! The team then moved up to 10th place for the season.
Evergate Stables traveled to Bonheiden, Belgium for the Bonheiden International CSI 2*, 3* and YH Horse Show. Jenn and Sayre Happy competed in several classes at each level. Jenn had a great round while riding Dolinn with a 5th place finish in the CSI 3* 1.45m jump off class!
The Paris Panthers team continued for the fourth competition in the month of June, competing in Monaco. A very small arena along the water’s edge made for some tight turns and quick actions. Team riders were Jenn and Nayel Nassar. With fences 1.50m and higher, this course proved to be tough for many riders. The Paris Panthers had some rails down and finished 17th place for the show and 13th place for the season. Jenn and Nayel competed in individual classes as well. Nayel had a beautiful clear round riding Emilie de Diamant AS in the 1.45m Two Phases CSI 5* placing 9th! Jenn also rode Luftikus S in the 1.45m Against the Clock CSI 5* placing 10th!
